Hi. It's a function that Maple knows, but SMath doesn't. I suppose the most practical solution is to ask Maple to evaluate it numerically, once the parameter values are known. evalf is for "eval with float point".

If you plot eq as a function of He you will find there are two solutions: one close to He =-1.068 and another close to He = 0.832 (for K = 0.4).
