You just need to know the maths of each col,
and construct the Smath matrix in descending rows
... No need for Excel
Visit Colebrook Pipe Data.

Inst_Colebrook MOODY.sm (19 KiB) downloaded 45 time(s).
Inst_Colebrook Pipe Data.sm (61 KiB) downloaded 51 time(s).

You can also try Davide Carpi "Table region" plugin.
It is another option to list the results of your calculation in a good looking way.
Very convenient for publishing purpose

Of course, as Jean suggested, every calculation should be prepared using matrix approach.

Hi Carlos:

This happened while I was working on it.

Plug in Failed.png

This red cross took all of the work after the plug-in away.

Have you experienced this?

How can I fix it?

Thank you!

Hi Chris

Yes, I've had that kind of problem, and it happens when the Plugin is not recognized or is not installed.
You have to install the plugin or update it.
Verify that your version of Smath Studio is compatible with the version of the Table Region Plugin.

Hi Carlos:

Thank you so much for the response.

File not found.File not found.

How do I know if they are compatible?

I installed the plugin from within the extension manager (from online gallery) and assume they are compatible?

Thanks,

Chris

Seems the right version. You can guess it is the right version by the 3rd 4-digits number, that should be similar and usually the same or slightly greater in the plugin. You can have more hints by checking the release dates. If you installed it by the internal release manager or by opening a worksheet there shouldn't be conflicts. I don't know what happened, if I have time tomorrow I'll try to make some tests...

Hi Chris

The green color and the tilde indicate that it is compatible.
When the plugin is not compactible it is shown as the following example.

Table_Region_Fail.png

Why not try the latest version of Smath Studio?

Hi Chris, I have downloaded and opened your file, same problem on my PC.

In any case, Table plug-in is still working correctly for me, when opening other files.
So, I'm afraid that in your case the bug is not in the plug-in installation itself, but in the calculation file that maybe got corrupted in some way?

Strange that when I open you file, first page is completely blank, second is a snapshot of a figure/book, third apparently contains nothing more than one declaration, some text and the mentioned error "red box".
Is there no other maths? Or did it get deleted by you? Or maybe by the bugged table?

Bye

Hi Fedeghi:

Thank you so much for trying to help.

I deleted the first page. When the "red box" appeared, it took about 4 pages of content away. Only 2 pages are related to the table region, the rest of them were independent.

Stress Analysis-Moment of Inertia Calculation.sm (27 KiB) downloaded 35 time(s).

Here is the "table region" as an independent file. It worked fine until I inserted it into the main file.

Thank you!

Chris

Maybe thats the reason... Carlos used a newer version to prepare it but I used the older one to modify it, but on the other side, they are all math!

Thank you Carlos!

There is supposed to be 2 more pages of data. I assume when the error happens it removed everything after it.

Anyways, I have re written everything and so far no issues.

Thanks again for your help!
