Hi, this is junior school math but what is the best way to obtain any value from a set of data like below? Can this be done on SMath?

Tank Data

The aim is to obtain alpha and beta values from any intermediary values of H/L or H/l.

Thanks,

You can use interpolation functions for that.
There are three different interpolation functions.
Your data seems to be lineear according to values.
Here is a demonstration of interpolation plots.
I also added functions to find β and α.

Possibly, there is a model ▼ function for these two
A tank that has length 'L' has diameter as well.
You can only measure level from [0...1] empty/full.
That's what alpha/beta seem to represent.
If so, the system is the segment approximation.
This problem is solved in Smath 5 decimals [Tema, Perry]
The Smath document ignores the ends. You can roughly add.
Please, acknowledge for eventual completion of the project.
Cheers ... Jean.

Thank you, Jean. "L" does not represent diameter. This table is for a rectangular tank design.

Obviously the data confirm the tank is not circular.
It may not be pure rectangular either vs deformation.
For + contribution, please don't hesitate.

There is a golden phrase for engineers:

When something is minor effecting overall outcome,
That condition/subject/aspect is negligible.
