Hello,

I would like to know how in Smath Studio I could show the Explicit values of formula's variables.
(It would be a partial evaluation of the formula)

Example:
a=1
b=2

c=a+b
c->1+2 (This is the evaluation with values)
c=3

This is posible in Mathcad using the evaluation operator with the word "explicit,variables" (I attached some examples). What is the equivalent function or operator in SMath Studio?

(Commentary: This in important for me, because I have had to teach Math and Physics, and for students it is better and necessary to show step by step the resolution of a problems and exercices. Also, to make manuals and reports in this education area).

In advance, thank you very much.

Hello,

It is relatively easy. Just use Optimization->None on the region when using numerical or symbolical equal to after the formula.

Radovan

Yes, but now we need to have the numerical result.
The only way I can see it done is by repeating the variable again below. Then by default SMath does numerical evaluation.

I would suggest, for practical science and engineering calculations, to be able to solve the problem in three steps
1. The formula
2. Substitution of variables with units
2. Numerical result and unit
