This is not the book itself, but the calculations that are used there. Unfortunately, the level of knowledge of the program leaves much to be desired. I made comments to the authors.

Does it happen only with this plugin or with others the same? Try deleting the plugins folder completely and try installing again.

Utility for call dsolvers for initial and boundary values problems from a solver block.
You can add your documents as add-ons and then include them with the include() function.
This function automatically searches for files in the folder with extensions. This way you can update them individually.

I think that SMath do not need a Given - Find block, because it have your solve block. For example, it could be used like this

Try to log in here using the registration data in the program: https://en.smath.com/upload/extensions.aspx
You should see this picture:
Next, you need to choose the type of extension
Before uploading a file, you need to fill in the document properties. Later, you can delete the file if necessary.
If the registration data is not suitable, then you need to request them from Andrey via e-mail.
The registered files will be available through the gallery.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce your parametric plot example.
It seems that the parameter range is taken from the x axis limits. Assigning a range to the parameter makes the plot fail.
How to fix this?
BTW, how about making the glyph of the mathcad block reflect the actual type by using {,[ or | to indicate the vertical extension?

Use ~t instead t in list, but t in the range.
